Themes For Hen Parties – Hawaiian Themes

Too many themes for hen parties to choose from? If you like a laid-back, relaxed atmosphere you could consider Hawaiian themes.
Hawaiian themes aren’t too difficult to set up either, which is great if you don’t have a lot of spare time on your hands. As Hawaii decorations, all you really needy is flowers, preferably orchids. They don’t have to be real, silk ones will work just as well. To really get the tropical theme going there are a few more things you can add. Palm trees (real or inflatable), palm branches or leaves, tiki masks, ukeleles, tiki torches, shells, pineapples will all ad to the relaxed Hawaiian atmosphere. If you’re having the party outside on the patio or in the garden, why not create your own beach with some beach sand and an inflatable childrens pool. Fill the pool with ice to keep the drinks cold, or to cool off any overheated guests in case you ordered a male stripper.
Make sure your guests know the theme so they can dress accordingly. Tacky Hawaiian shirt are easy enough to come by, a sarong is a great idea, and for the real Hawaiian style: a hula skirt and coconut bra. Hand out Leis to all the guests, but make sure the bride-to-be has a special Lei to make her stand out.
Choose typical Hawaiian Outfit For Men food and beverages like kalua pig, teriyaki beef, laulau, mahi-mahi, poi, mochiko or shoyu chickenn, huli-huli chicken, potato-mac salad, chicken long rice, lomi lomi salmon, haupia, pineapples, papaya, macadamia nut cream pie, mochi, mai tais, and blue Hawaiians. If you’re not much of a cook, let a caterer take care of it. To save on dishes, paper plates and plastic cups, use coconut or pineapple shells, Ti leaves or large shells.
To get the hen party started, put on some Hawaiian music and give the hula a try. You can hire a professional hula dancer to give a demonstration or to teach the guests and bride-to-be a few basic hula moves. If you prefer something more spectacular you can hire a fire knife dancer. It’s not really a Hawaiian tradition but it is spectacular enough to overlook that little detail.
Themes for hen parties should be chosen carefully, you want to make all the guests feel comfortable, specifically the bride-to-be. Hopefully, you now have a pretty good idea if Hawaiian themes should be the way to go or not.
